May 16, 2017 - Mocha and blackberry, a little high alcohol

February 1, 2016 - This is a wonderfully big merlot, quite smooth and well balanced. There is a lot of dark fruit, red and black flavors blend with good acids and tannins. This is tasting great right now, we are just sorry this is our only bottle.

November 30, 2014 - Simply really good freaking Merlot.

December 24, 2012 - Fabulous merlot that paired perfectly with beef stroganoff

July 10, 2012 - Wine is a more mellow, even softer now that oak is better integrated, but somehow has lost some of its vigor as well. Still very nice wine, but not as exciting as first bottle.

Washington Wine Report

(Abeja Merlot Columbia Valley) Locked up tightly at present with very pretty, refined high toned red fruit, milk chocolate, and licorice. The palate is soft and fruit filled with tremendous concentration and elegance. 100% Merlot. Heather Hill and Bacchus vineyards. Aged 13 months in French and American oak (60% new). 14.6% alcohol.
