October 10, 2021 - Dom Pérignon / Vosne-Romanée Tasting-cum-Lunch (Restaurant Slagerij De Beurs, Amsterdam, NL): Magnum. Waxy, peach, slate, delicately sweet, cream and spice, a delightful Riesling, at peak.
October 8, 2021 - Hmm, not really flesh nor fowl. Ok, but lacks excitement, tension and depth. Certainly a very good wine, but not my preferred Zilliken style.
August 21, 2021 - Nose of lime, lychee and a touch of petrol. Light on its feet, this is a nice easygoing Kabinett style Riesling with good freshness and enough complexity to keep interested.
August 5, 2020 - This was very interesting. Had a terrific smell, with loads of petroleum, white fruit and white flowers. Very fresh! The palate differed, though, as it was already very mature, and tasted like 30 year old Auslese. I think it has many years left, but I'm not sure it will improve. There is simply too little sweetness for it to age truly well.
It would have been an amazing wine for sushi, though.
September 1, 2019 - Grosse Gewächse Presentation (Conservatorium Hotel, Amsterdam, NL): Retailer tasting, brief note. Maturing beautifully, wax and spicy minerality, fresh and exciting, lovely complexity and length.
December 24, 2018 - Dobbeltdekantert og servert 3 t etterpå. Kork delte seg i to. Jeg føler dette er noe av problemet til flere kvalitetsrieslinger, at de er svovlet nok for lagring, men putter i dårlige korker som avkorter deres liv. Til ribbe julaften. Min beste flaske så langt. Holdt fint til dag 2 også. Virkelig super!

March 3, 2018 - Very honeyed nose, smooth in the mouth, and very long.
June 2, 2017 - Bad cork. Developed, but attractive Riesling aromas. Relatively ripe, rich and full bodied for this wine. Feels like it is more developed than it should have been.
June 2, 2017 - Slightly off bottle. Have had better. Didn't improve over two days. Hopefully just this bottle.
