September 10, 2023 - Good structure and balance. Needs no decant and performs well after opening. Don't expect too much fruit nor complexity in the nose. The palate shows well integrated tannins and a good structure, but there is a little bit missing. All in all good but not great!
January 19, 2023 - Fruit came through. Give lots of air. Lovely texture - so smooth. Well balanced and not drying out at the finish. A roller-coaster ride of varying bottles but this one was good - 90+ points
January 17, 2023 - Past its peak, but lovely still.
Cedar and spice notes. Pairs very well with foods from cheese to dried beef.
Will be a great dinner table wine.
August 23, 2022 - Moderate fruit and tannins remain. Passed its drinking window, perhaps because of the vintage. Thin in mid palate with faint raspberry and cassis fruit, black pepper, tobacco and pencil.
January 20, 2022 - Mature nose with fruit (cherries) with wood, savoury, forest floor and marzipan. slightly aggressive on palate despite concentration of fruit (alcohol?). Fresh with overt, slightly sharp tannins. Longish finish rather dominated by over extraction with oak overpowering fruit. Not sure what is going to happen over next few years.
August 27, 2021 - disappointed until final evening when well aerated. Each bottle is a lottery.
May 31, 2021 - This was ok!. Full of fruit. Rather tense and aggressive but really very nice. hope yet.
December 31, 2020 - Oak and age. Not a lot to recommend it.
April 24, 2020 - Popped and poured. Immediate intense aromas of dark fruit, dense impression. Tobacco, leather, dark fruits, very good balance and still fresh with long finish. Very good especially for its vintage. Can be kept for several years.
March 29, 2020 - Do not like. Even after a lot of aeration seemed to consist of sweet, old oak planks rather than fruit.
