April 18, 2019 - A pretty great example of aged Australian Pinot noir - at 9 years old, still fresh but with wonderful texture and building complexity. Could go another 10 I reckon. Tannins are still there but taking a back seat now. Darker cherries, chocolate, spice, aniseed, earth. Just love the texture - still feels slightly coiled and full of energy - like its yet to fully relax. The best length I can remember in an Aussie Pinot. A bit of an eye opener for me. Wish I had another bottle!

November 4, 2015 - Translucent dark garnet in colour.
Aromatic aniseed wafts above the glass, dark chocolate, fantastic nose.
Medium full bodied, silken entry, French oak spice, so balanced, enthralling delivery, rolls from front to back, dark cherry and lots of it build through the crescendo of the long rolling finish. A delicious wine. Head and shoulders above the competition in both Australian Pinot Noir and the 2010 vintage. OK, big call. Mount Mary head to head will be a night to remember.
May I also include Bass Phillip Premium, all three exude quality.

September 5, 2013 - Langton's Classification Tasting (Carraigeworks, Sydney): Spice, truffle, cherry and orange rind. Well balanced on the palate, has good fruit depth - give it time!

September 5, 2013 - (Langtons w Mich&Bo) Pretty purple fruits with big florals, somewhat hot? Florals on palate, held tall with bright acidity and indian spices, ending with odd bitter zest. Hmm?

May 19, 2013 - Sweet cinnamon nose. Good density on the Bass Phillip-like sweet and sour palate. Complex. Sweet (oak) spice finish.

August 22, 2012 - 10x20 Victorian Tasting (Customs House, Sydney, Australia): Appealing nose of black cherry, olive, earth and roses. Palate is bright, with some depth to it and powerful coiled fruit power lurking. Great length and very good potential to improve.
