August 24, 2019 - Decanted about an hour. Medium light color with a wide, clear rim. With a little coaxing the nose shows briary red fruit and high-toned sweet spices. On the palate the wine is fresh and gently sweet with ripe but vibrant red fruit and a nice soft viscosity. The tannins are present but well integrated and the finish is long and satisfying. I would drink this before the 2005 or 2008. Drink now through 2024. 93 pts.

July 31, 2016 - Sweet rich nose of blueberry, blackberry, and boysenberry, violet and some spice and smoke in the background. Same on the palate, but a touch confected and slighly cloying in its sweetness right now. Could use a bit more acid perhaps to stop a flatness on the mid palate. Still very young.

April 13, 2016 - Return to San Antonio III - barolo/bordeaux (Mike O): Huge fruit and concentration for Oregon, but balanced. Only on night 2 w/o the nebbiolo did I appreciate the fine acidity. Easy drinking with good depth.

March 7, 2016 - This is really nice. Not too too big but plenty of backbone. Quite elegant. Nice bottle
