May 10, 2020 - Lovely garnet red colour. Still full of that peppery fruit flavour. Tannins smoothed over time but still some length in the palate. Well balanced and perfumed. Probably can keep for another 18 months but I would drink up soon.

February 15, 2019 - Benefited from 3 hours decanting. Rich fruit with smoke and liquorice on the nose, more austere palate but ending in softened tannins and great with a cheesey starter.

    November 11, 2017 - WIML90

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about 90 minutes.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of violets, currants, smoked meat and potpourri. Flavors of black raspberries, black berries and plums. Medium to tart acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now.

December 24, 2015 - decant, good northern rhone, earthy

  • Zazzaman Likes this wine: 85 points

February 13, 2015 - Plums, pepper and spices on nose, soft ripe tannins with hints of herbs chocolate and vanilla. Very integrated and pleasant drink, ready now and good value WoFW 14/20.
