May 1, 2017 - popped and poured. followed over 4 hours

Dusty cranberry aromas including some mossy damp forest greeted upon cork pull and persisted. As mentioned, these did not follow through on the palate. Instead, there was a limp feeble wine, lacking concentration and flavor, and without much complexity at all. This bottle seemed to be at its last gasp of life with resolved tannins and watery/trace acidity. No apparent flaws. At just 6-7 years of age, I expected much more, having been previously rewarded with longer term cellaring of WR wines. At the $50 retail this once was, an easy pass. Hopefully my other bottles are more alive.

February 20, 2017 - OK. Fine for Monday night but ... nice notes on the nose but they didn't translate into flavor

July 30, 2013 - Willamette Valley Oregon Trip 4 & 1/2 Days; 7/29/2013-8/4/2013 (Willamette Valley, Oregon): Not a lot of notes, cedar, astringent, a bit longer on the finish. Time may help this.

May 16, 2013 - The difference between a good wine and a great one is that I will always remember where I was and what I was doing when I drank this bottle. Elegant and engaging, it draws you in with complex character of bright fruits and a floral nose, a hint of licorice and a finish that is remarkably sustained for such a delicate example of great Oregon Pinot.
