December 8, 2023 - 2 years ago I thought in needs to be drunk within 4 years, but it is time now. Slightly over the top, tertiary tastes are predominant now.

April 14, 2023 - 15th Wedding anniversary. Dinner at Angel Oak. The only reasonably affordable 2008 wine on their large wine list. Quite enjoyable to my novice palate.

March 10, 2023 - The word for this wine is balance.
It is obviously very closed at first but then after 4 hours it starts to make itself felt, with its cloves, cinnamon, blackberries, mint and chocolate. Plum jam. Only at the end a little tobacco.
If you are patient, it will not only surprise you throughout the meal, but will be a great companion for four couch chats. Indeed, it has a beautiful, perfectly balanced structure, I would say surprising and unexpected (even compared to the density dl color). The tannins are perfect, not disturbing but invigorating a long, velvety finish.

    March 28, 2022 - March 2022

    Color: Dark ruby

Nose: Big but well rounded. Dark fruit heavy. Cinnamon and clove.

Palate: Well structured and balanced. Big, but not overpowering. Fresh dark fruit, light anise, slightly jammy.

Body: Medium to full. Not as heavy as expected. Chocolate notes as well as fresh blueberry and raspberry.

Finish: Long and velvety, very little acidity. Not overly tannic.

Great with high fat cheese, but balanced enough to drink without food if need be.

November 13, 2021 - Intense smell, dark berries, plum, chocolate etc. Perfectly balanced, perfect acidity and dissolved tanins. Lot of structure, long finish. Excellent now, drinks over next 4 years
