Community Tasting Notes 7

April 23, 2021 - Four years after the prior: Age has not contributed to enjoyment. Medium deep Amber. Dry, unpleasantly bitter, and at this point, to our taste, extremely unfriendly. Little sips taken on three consecutive nights showed the same.

April 17, 2017 - Similar to our note more than two years ago, but this bottle seemed to be drying out a bit, displaying less depth.

  • Deux Chevaux Likes this wine:

February 13, 2015 - Very, indeed extremely, deep amber. Richly walnutty and dry; reminiscent of a Sherry by the fourth day. Throughout, there was the taste and smell of dried apricots & their pits. This is a totally distinctive varietal and wine, aged in ceramic casks, by tradition going back thousands of years, by monastery monks, no less. We bought two more.

  • Baggio Does not like this wine: 85 points

November 28, 2013 - Don't really get the rave reviews on this Georgian wine. It's hard to get past the basic bitter quality.

July 8, 2013 - Clean, fresh, still Rose; Great edge; Great fresh nose
