April 23, 2021 - Four years after the prior: Age has not contributed to enjoyment. Medium deep Amber. Dry, unpleasantly bitter, and at this point, to our taste, extremely unfriendly. Little sips taken on three consecutive nights showed the same.

April 17, 2017 - Similar to our note more than two years ago, but this bottle seemed to be drying out a bit, displaying less depth.

February 13, 2015 - Very, indeed extremely, deep amber. Richly walnutty and dry; reminiscent of a Sherry by the fourth day. Throughout, there was the taste and smell of dried apricots & their pits. This is a totally distinctive varietal and wine, aged in ceramic casks, by tradition going back thousands of years, by monastery monks, no less. We bought two more.

November 28, 2013 - Don't really get the rave reviews on this Georgian wine. It's hard to get past the basic bitter quality.

February 24, 2013 - A very interesting amber wine. Light fennel nose with dry plum taste notes. Excellent with citrus inspired dishes.

September 17, 2011 - Deep gold with an amber appearance. Extremely ripe and opulent with nutty and raisiny notes in deep conflict with floral notes like linden. Full and tannic at the drying end with crisp acidity and a potential to age. Quite extraordinary if you are not used to this style of white winemaking.
