  August 26, 2014 - If you like European styled wines, it is hard to beat Dolcetto for the money for an everyday, pizza wine. This bottle was 14 bucks. Not complex, but its tasty and there is a good balance of dark fruit, some black tea, fine tannin and acidity. With a meatball pizza during a Fantasy Football draft. I would think this wine could go another year or two pretty easily but I don't have any experience with trying to age this variety.
  
  Very similar to a Sottimano Dolcetto I had a few days ago.

  May 29, 2014 - I enjoyed this more than Ann as she thought it was a little too astringent and acidic. Dark fruits, a little earthy note, and black tea. Ann thought it was a little smokey with meaty notes. Paired with pasta and Italian sausage.
  
  Day 2: the wine has smoothed out some and is better balanced. A little softer, plusher but still light on its feet and offset with good acidity.

  May 15, 2014 - Dark fruits on the nose and palate, tart, slightly tannic and good acidity but short finish as others have noted. Great weekday food wine.
