March 30, 2017 - Nose: Pretty aromatics; suggestions of raspberry and blackberry jam.
Palate opens with berries, moves on to bubblegum notes, and then takes on a dry earthy quality. Moderate acid and tannin on the back end plus a smidgen of heat. Hint of caramel dipped apple through the finish. Cool wine. -

March 5, 2017 - A friend put it best: this is like a Sicilian natural wine made in Piemonte. No signs of oak, this is all fruit and soil with unique purity to it. Medium-bodied with good acidity, massively drinkable. There is a distinctive spicy note that is nicely kept in check. If someone said that this was aged in amphora I would not question it. Drinking very young and primary at the age of six.
