May 4, 2016 - Slightly forward looking gold color. Very modern and very Chardonnay nose of ripe opulent vanilla tinged fruit. Taste like Lewin Estate, top new world wine. No way you would say White burg grand cru if you tasted this blind. 1 hour later was a lot of passion fruit and still showing a lot of new world characteristics and new oak. Sorry I know The Burghound has been rating Faiveley very highly in these more recent vintages but this is simply not showing its terroir or typicity or complexity that you would expect from this vineyard. Modern but not in a good way.

June 27, 2015 - Post Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Interesting lemon and lemon peel character with some intriguing tropical hints. Great bursts of energy provide textural highlights I really enjoy. Long finish. Needs time.
