September 9, 2023 - Drinking very well with dark fruits and balanced tannin. Good value. Still a bit woodsy as is its style but less so than in its youth.

May 2, 2022 - Healthy cork. No signs of oxidation. Ruby red garnet clear. Typical aromas for variety. Dark berries, baked red fruit. Oaky. Woodsy minerality. Medium to medium plus tannin. Silky. Short but satisfying after taste.

January 9, 2022 - Great wine. In the past I have found these having notes of over charred oak barrel. This time around took out of cellar 4 days prior to drinking to settle sediment. Decanted as we drank. Nose had notes of oak, dark and red fruits with violets. On the pallet there was oak, dark and red fruit, and nice tannic structure. 91 points. Great value at $35.

September 27, 2020 - Quel beau vin d'un excellent millésime. Un cuir noble sur une bouche avec la mûre et les bleuets sauvages. Très long et avec une douceur en bouche. 93 sur 100.

September 12, 2020 - Glad it was a gift rather buying with my own money. It is a decent enough Bordeaux with black fruit and oak presence. Tannin is resolved.

April 26, 2020 - PnP. Integrated and smooth right off the bat. More nose than palate. Not as dense and heavy as I had anticipated. Enough acidity to last for a while. But definitely open for business. A little thin on the palate though.

April 25, 2020 - sadly my last bottle of Pipeau but what a way to go out. Gorgeous, deep ruby color, amazing sheen in the glass, excellent nose with tons of fruit, even at 10 years old. Slight tannins on the finish but they mostly bring the wine together and lead into a long lasting enjoyment after you put the glass down. Can't say enough about this bottle and at <$25, the QPR is incredible.

February 22, 2019 - Good. Clearly Merlot; chocolatey and grapey. Lighter of body than one might expect, but the finish is not short. Slightly smoky.
