August 7, 2021 - Garnet with brown rim. Intense perfume and dark herbals in nose. The structure is a little disjointed due to the age, but still running well generally, dark fruity and savoury notes, creamy in finish.

    Ap 4/5, Ar 14/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 4+3/10
    Total 91/100

April 19, 2021 - Nice perfume in nose, rich and dense, pack of sweet herbals, it’s great if you don’t mind a little soy sauce notes. Very unique having its own personality.

JCL 80, JG 93, BC 84, WF 93, rarely see a NZ wine having so different opinions. I put 90 for its gorgeous side.

    Ap 5/5, Ap 13/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 3+3/10
    Total 90/100

October 26, 2020 - Mountford and Julicher (Forrest Hill, Auckland): Dense dark fruits and herbals, some dark chocolate and soy sauce hints (a bit over peak?) but still very enjoyable in general!

    Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 17/20, Overall 4+3/10
    Total 92/100

May 16, 2020 - Last bottle from the cellar.
Still drinking well and still a fair amount of fruit on board. Well balanced, good finish.
    Enjoyable.

August 30, 2018 - I was obviously wrong when I said that this had peaked in 2014!
Still drinking really well. Opened up after decanting and half an hour in the glass. Impressive.
