March 2, 2019 - An Epic Vertical of Petrus (Ten Trinity Latour Club, London): A little lighter than the 71 and 75 but another beautiful wine. Blueberries and tertiary flavors.

November 4, 2018 - With oenophile friends after a splash decant. Fully mature dark ruby with minimal sediment, this exhibited none of the reticence and unapproachable nose Parker mentions was the case most of it's life. Deep black fruit licorice and cassis-infused layer cake nose with soft viscous feel and 30 second finish.
The experienced drinkers were wide-eyed with delight and universally in awe.

If a date, this was a beautiful 35 year old Mckinsey partner:
7 figure salary and Armani by day, Harvard education and French lingerie on full display by night.

Mature Bordeaux simply doesn't get better than this

November 3, 2018 - Nose: Raspberry sauce, ganache, cigar, cedar, Black Cherry, Toffee and Fig notes. Palate: Impossibly rich yet somehow balanced this gives layers of glycerin, coconut, roasted cherries, raspberry, ganache, truffles, vanilla bean and smokey cedar. Finish: Powerful, palate drenching fruit that does not give up.

Seemed 15-years younger than vintage, and while not as nuanced or sensual as the 70 Trotanoy served alongside it was sensational.

    A total hedonist.

November 3, 2018 - Interesting wine - we had two bottles which were quite similar. Both were tremendously opulent and actually quite exotic, showing coconut, damson, quince, clay, ganache, and earthen notes. Luscious but not my favorite expression of Petrus. Odd to say, but I'd give it more time.

September 21, 2018 - From jero. Deep and elegant. A little more progressed in this format than anticipated but a middle age wine in most respects. Wonderful softness to the palate. 96+
