October 6, 2019 - It doesn’t get better than this! A never ending finish is still on my palate after an hour of finishing the last glass of this wine. Honey, white tropical fruits and an unbelievable preciseness in the different flavours makes this a once in a lifetime wine. The residual natural sugars are balanced against a level of fantastic mild but pronounced acidity. Enjoyable beyond anything I ever tasted
September 7, 2019 - The 1990 Chateau d’Yquem is bold and voluptuous, one of the richest and brightest d’Yquem I have tasted. This 1990 is fresher than the excellent 1988, offering plenty of fresh mango, peach, citrus peel, pineapple, honeycomb and white blossom. Luscious with very well integrated oak spices. Full bodied with Tokaji Essencia characteristics but fresher acidity and fragrant botrytis. Immortal wine. (94/100)
June 20, 2019 - Very much on the leaner, minerally side of Yquem without the exotic qualities of say '83 and '89. It's still a baby though and it shows an excellent cut of acidity with perfectly ripe flavors of white peaches, clove and caramel. The finish is quite complex with a strong note of chalky minerals. I like it's potential. 94+
June 9, 2019 - Wow, perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. Candied Apples, vanilla, and lemon zest, with saffron on the back-end. We had this wine with homemade dark chocolate torte and brownies, and it more than held its own.
May 21, 2019 - Wonderful. A classic continues. From nose to sip to swirl to hold in mouth to finish this wine is pure pleasure. A fruit garden of apricots, oranges and pineapple, this is rounded, viscous honey that pulsates with pleasure. A perfect finish to our dinner at Marea in NYC.
May 5, 2019 - 90 years of Ducru Beaucaillou: A lovely conclusion to an evening of Ducru Beaucaillou. Fresh, bright, marmalade, almond, acacia nose. Delightful Yquem with many happy years in hand.

April 20, 2019 - Medium gold honey colored, full bodied, unctuous, concentrated and layered but superbly balanced and elegant, spice, honey and dried orange peel aromas. flavors of caramel, toffee, honey with smokey notes. extraordinary sweetness cut by harmonious acidity on the long finish that lingers for a minute or more.
April 15, 2019 - first bottle and maybe a little disappointed - mature and very delicious but lacking a little acidity to balance and, more surprisingly, complexity
April 12, 2019 - Orange blossom, honey, intensely rich viscous mouthfeel. Utterly crowdpleasing. This is in fine shape, reminiscent of last time I drank this some years ago, clearly evolving slowly and many years ahead of this. Tonight it hit the bullseye. Served from 750ml.
