December 24, 2023 - PnP, lost a bit of life after a few hours but enjoyable for the first few

April 19, 2021 - Drunk with boar sausages for dinner. Almost black with dark garnet rim - like a black cherry. Nose of spice, dark fruits and earth which emerged as blackberry, black pepper (a lot) and coffee grounds on the palate. Overall balance is pretty good with blended tannins and crisp acidity. Good intensity but a bit short on length and complexity. I struggled a bit to get clear resolution between the flavours - more of a shepherds pie than lamb cutlets with pommes dauphinoise experience! Needs air. Going strong and will last for some time yet.

February 3, 2018 - Some Aged Gramercy Wines: Loved this wine. Tons of aromatic complexity in terms of black cherries, plums, tons of peppered steak and meat drippings. Rich, bold, dry but fresh. Black fruit is rich but tangy and laced with complex leather, pepper, soy and loamy earth. Lovely stuff with plenty of years of cellar potential left.

November 24, 2017 - W lamb chop grilled friday after thanksgiving. Good wine, very elegant, not sure of the mix, it didnt taste syrah dominant as the reported blend says (85% syrah). Great color, nice nose and on palate good fruit with decent finish, nothing powerful but just an elegant wine.

(Gramercy Cellars L'Idiot du Village Columbia Valley) An aromatically appealing wine with fresh, brambly red raspberries, a touch of pepper, smoked meat, light floral notes, and orange peel. The palate is textured and full of clean, crisp red fruit flavors that linger on a tart finish. 85% Syrah (Minnick), 15% Grenache (Alder Ridge). 14.2% alcohol.
