October 1, 2012 - I'm a fan of Petite Sirah and this isn't much of a Petite Sirah. I like the varietal for its dark, brawny, tannic character and there is little of that here. In a blind tasting I'd be more likely to guess it as a Grenache or maybe a Syrah. Was not a bad wine, just not varietally correct as far as I'm concerned.
