July 17, 2023 - Beautiful Grenache that still tastes great !!
Perfect cork after a dozen years. Consumed over two days time. Deep dark ruby color with minor oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of black cherry and baking spice with a hint of licorice. Flavors of fig, blackberry, and leather with a medium finish. A balanced flavorful 100% Grenache. This is an age worthy wine with more years of life left, unfortunately I have no bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar. Great fruit from the Estate Vineyard in Santa Ynez appellation in Santa Barbara County and great winemaking effort by Mikael Sigouin and Steve Beckman. Excellent with Charcuterie and Olive Tapenade. -

July 24, 2021 - Aromas of cinnamon, baking spices, paprika, thyme, mushrooms, bolets, chalk, cherry. On the palate more Cherry than what I remember on my previous bottle. It’s thin but lively, good tannins.

March 18, 2021 - Oak, violets, tobacco on the nose. On the palate it’s definitely past it’s prime. Tea leaves, dried herbs, smooth, earthy, short finish.
