May 4, 2019 - Holding up well. Decent but nothing mind blowing. After the big bottle and such it feels a bit of a let down. At least it didn’t taste too jammy or seem to be overwhelmed by the ABV. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 for this type of CS. Ripe black fruit, a bit of cassis. Some baking spices and smooth tannin.

April 16, 2017 - Ran through the Menu decanter and back into the bottle. Nice nose and flavors of decently aged Cabernet. Dark fruit: Cassis, black cherry and plum. Tobacco and leather, with a touch of mocha on the finish. Good stuff...starting to show some age though, so I would probably drink this in the next couple of years. Drink now - 2019.

April 2, 2017 - PnP - really enjoyed this - ripe fruit, nice structure to the wine with a fuller body and a long finish. In a really good spot right now but could definitely age a little longer.

January 19, 2017 - Was anticipating this wine, for a few years - being a huge fan of DuBrul Vineyard fruit (and the wines made from them). Great wine, but was thinking it might be a bit BIGGER. Perhaps I waited to long? Don't get me wrong, lovely wine; red fruit, a nice subtle oak element, slight cocoa on the finish. Drink up! Now is the time, I think.

December 31, 2015 - Drank for NYE at El Gaucho Bellevue. Excellent spot and paired well with Chateaubriand. Lush yet elegant and not over the top. Very sophisticated even. Solid Cab profile with some dusty notes and tannins well in check. Will improve and age for quite a while I believe.

(JB Neufeld Cabernet Sauvignon DuBrul Vineyard Yakima Valley) A moderately aromatic but appealing wine with dark cherries, earth, a light, distinctive herbal medley, and the slightest touch of poblano pepper. The palate is broad and generous with grainy, slightly dry tannins. Lingers on the finish. A fascinating mixture of warm site and cool site flavors. Aged 17 months in French oak (60% new). 15.0% alcohol. 150 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
