September 29, 2021 - This was brilliant. Perfectly balanced, precise and fresh, no sign of the 14% alcohol. Tannins have melted away, with a core of black fruit and secondary notes of tobacco, spice and a savory note. Almost like aged Bdx. Long finish. Drink now or hold.

September 27, 2019 - No sign of ageing, the colour still a light cherry red.
Hint of alcohol on the nose but it's certainly not dominant on the palate.
There's lovely sweet fruit on the palate. Black fruit profile. Tannins smooth as silk. In a great place right now and in no way tired so drink or keep I'd say.

August 30, 2019 - I knew this was special from the first whiff. Brilliant bouquet, with notes of oak, olive, and sage. Outstanding depth. Mature tannins, but the wine is youthful and robust, hearty, vivacious, and just delicious. Sweet dark cherry fruit, bright acidity, long and chewy. Seems to be at its peak, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this wine last for a very long time.

December 30, 2015 - The nose showed intense dark, ripe fruits with sweet spice hints of oak, savory herbs, dark earth and undergrowth. It was rich and broad on the palate with ripe red fruits and a sheen of polished oak lending mocha, spice and vanillin sensations, which last through the long finish. This is big and broad, yet nicely balanced.

March 2, 2012 - Dense, chewy, oaky, luscious but modern Tempranillo. Funky earth and savory ham character make this quintessentially Duero.

December 11, 2005 - very young, beautiful wine, chocolate, cedar, pencil shavings. Medium finish. Keep cellared another five years.
