  October 20, 2022 - Mid to full ruby, quite dense in the core. Mid to dark red fruit. Texturally, this is fully resolved and densely silky. The oak influence has receded and the wine is balanced and smooth. Ultimately though, just lacks some excitement. ***

  August 10, 2018 - Gorgeous, smoother than the more usual tempranillo Riojas, almost creamy with really long spicy finish.

  March 26, 2014 - This is a remarkable wine but takes a while to wake up. 2.5 hour decant is essential.
  Followed over 3 hours. It's rather awkward at first, but after 2.5 hours it started showing what it's got with some strawberry at the forefront. It continues to evolve in the glass for a while longer.
  Improves on the second day and the following one (leftovers stored in two small bottles, filled to the top), allowed to breath for 30 min before serving and sampled over the course of the following hour.
  Day 1: 88
  Day 2: 89
  Day 3: 90
  Give it a very long decant if you want it to truly shine.
