December 24, 2018 - Another great bottle of this that really encapsulates the HM earth and deep cassis driven profile right now. Black fruit is balanced with loamy earth, pine and a velvety palate feel. Few tannins now, but elements of leather, cedar and eucalyptus give it finishing strength.

This will drink really well for another decade as it is made in a very classic HM style. I had a the 84 a year or so ago and that was still going strong. Definately a site in its early evolution that will please bordeaux lovers today.

June 17, 2018 - Nose of dusty blueberries and saddle leather . Purple and rust color. Thin raisen and blueberry....tobacco fringes...a bit spent

August 6, 2017 - Nose: Dark mountain fruit core of blackberry, cassis and cool blue fruit. Accented by cedary oak notes, damp earth and pine, some floral notes as well. Palate: Well integrated, but fruit is still slightly jammy. Blackberry, dried blueberry, leather, bramble and pine. Finish: Moderate length, but the dark fruit is penetrating.

In a great drinking window now, and seem it will hold here for a while. I would not anticipate too much additional development.

April 30, 2017 - Decanted about an hour before drinking. A wonderful classic Cali Cab.

April 8, 2017 - With beef short ribs at Arianna Restaurant in Bend. Decanted before serving. Dark red in color with very fragrant bouquet. A little tannin, but really smooth in the mouth with cassis and dark cherry immediately jumping out. Mocha and cedar also apparent. Good finish. Excellent wine.
