August 3, 2019 - This is a Barbaresco that better had to come of age and has done so.
I remember tasting this at the winery back in 2013 and it was rather harsh and its nose and taste somehow leaned to cat pee.
I was told that this vintage has lots of potential and now, several years later, this turns out to be true. The color is quite dark in nebbiolo terms with a very slight brown rim. In the nose there is nice confected cherry fruit, mixed with iron and balsamic notes. In the mouth the wines has put on weight and is quite on fire after one hour of breathing. While there is still a wealth of tannin, which lingers long on the finish, the wine is certainly accessible now and shows the rather more rustic side of a Barbaresco from the Produttori (I agree with fellow contributor Motz).
Equally worth drinking now as keeping for five years.

July 14, 2019 - Menthol and strawberry on the nose. On the palate, rich red cherry, blackberry, and currant with notes of rose petal, leather, and medicinal herbs on the medium to long finish, with good acidity. This is excellent, and it's early in its drinking window with room to improve. It was a bargain at under $30.

June 24, 2019 - This has picked up weight since the last bottles and the fruit has turned darker. Still has slightly gritty young-nebbiolo tannins that leads me to believe it has many many years left.

June 5, 2019 - Tasted over two days, alongside the 2012 vintage, which provided fascinating points for comparison. This is the leaner, more rustic, and edgier of the two. Whereas the 2012 features fleshy red and purple fruits up front, this wine shows tremendous purity of tart and sweet red berries at the middle and back.

This was the first time tasting this wine that it did not need an entire day to breathe, yet it still showed better on the second day. Pure Barbaresco, showing tangy and tart red fruits and berries, rhubarb, rosehips, orange marmalade, and wafting hints of petrol derivatives. Though restrained, the wine features riveting energy and piercing qualities. Intriguing combination of gripping weightlessness at the mid palate, turning notably tannic at the back.

The wine paired with everything, including charcuterie, cheese, beef, and sausage. Likely to continue its evolution for another seven twelve years, and even then there will be no hurry. Along with its 2012 stablemate, it tops the list of high QPR Barbaresco. 93-94.
