August 16, 2021 - Pale; four square; pedestrian, undernourished, stolid; sound but…… Morose finish. Needs food.

November 30, 2018 - Cola and ripe black cherries on the ample nose. A bright, energetic, medium weight body follows; with a moderately long, yet balanced finish. Definitely a good example of a good year/old world pinot noir. Drinking really well now, but could still wait on this one, as the fine tannins are still ever-so-slightly present. Couldn't rank this wine higher, because I really couldn't coax any complexity or character out of it, however.

February 27, 2016 - (from Magnum) This was a good amount better than expected. I've been quite down on 2009 Burgundy as many are far too ripe for me, but this came across as balanced. It pours a light, translucent ruby with just the smallest hint of bricking at the rim. The nose is subtle but complex of wet churned soil, bright red cherry, strawberry, orange peel, thyme, and a light rustic animal fur note. The palate has good acidity, low velvety tannin, and a medium plus finish built on red fruit and wet soil. Quite nice and almost 93, surprisingly. A profile I really appreciate.

February 27, 2014 - Still drinking very young. Light perfume on the nose. A bit of interesting mint on the palate. Goes down very easy.

August 19, 2012 - Good and enjoyable but needs more time. A bit tight and tannic but has the underlying raw materials. Some perfume on the nose. Good tannic snap on the finish.
