September 24, 2023 - This is rocking tonight. Cool, mineral style, stony, vertical, yet almost silky in it's approach. Plenty of local feel here, garrigue galore. Probably peaking right now, but no hurry, it will stay there for at lest 2-3 years.

September 16, 2020 - This is my second foray into Fortia CdP. The other vintage was from 2003. Upon reflection the 2003 vintage was in a better place at age 10, and performed well through age 15. I do not have that confidence in this bottling.

PNP. Aromatically presents garrigue, smoked meat, white pepper, and mulled currant. On the palate this is flabby. Integrated tannin with mulled currant, white pepper, and dried meats with a dusting of Herb de Provence.

Short finish with a bit of ground iron.

For the vintage, my conclusion is this is on the decline and should be consumed in the near term. Drink by 2022.

Half the bottle to be consumed on day 2. Day 1 score - 86.

Day 2 - This is an improved wine today. Retains the pleasant aromatics from day 1, but the palate has more energy, and the flabbiness has dissipated significantly. Retains an iron/mineral centric finish but retains a disappointingly short finish for me. Day 2 score - 89.

Overall assessment is this is an entry level performing CdP that benefits from air, but I will not plan on holding beyond 2022.

March 11, 2020 - Beautiful CDP from the highly rated 2010 vintage. My first of 4 bottles. Nose of olives and spice, slight barnyard initially. After about 45 minutes, this bottle transformed into a well-balanced and silky example of Southern Rhone at its finest. Not quite at peak yet, but ready to drink, especially if you can allow it to open up for a bit.

April 23, 2018 - last bottle. Consistent with my prior notes. Nice "traditional" CDP - 92+/-

Need to buy more current vintages.
