  August 17, 2021 - Gorgeous purity of blackberry fruit, black pepper, and very creamy French oak, which suggested American oak with its coconut notes. Beautiful balance, very dry, brilliant presence in the mouth. Ageing very well.

  August 16, 2021 - Superb Hawke's Bay Syrah from vines on a slope, near the Bridge Pa Triangle. Dark ruby, powerful room-filling aromas of berries and violets. Masses of succulent black fruit, boysenberry spectrum, perfectly ripe, strong and structured, fine beautifully knitted tannins, acidity and great length with developed vanilla, coconut and almost creamy oak finish. Does not need much of a decant at 11 years, drinking very well now. Bacchus amat colles!

  April 29, 2017 - Superb Syrah - still full of fruit - plums, nicely rounded tannins, a warn elegant wine - well worth the cellaring. Buy again
