December 10, 2023 - Light nose of blueberry and cedar. Tannins are mostly resolved, but there is still some left. Earth, and a little bitterness on the finish. I think this wine has peaked.
July 24, 2023 - Heady leathery nose on dark cherry and plum fruit with tobacco and even a little graphite (not a typical WA thing). Excellent body and balance with resolved tannins. At peak in the best way possible and a superb example of what can happen with Red Mountain fruit. Blind, I might have guessed California. One of the best WA reds I've had in a long while.
January 5, 2023 - Really excellent juice. Paired with spare ribs. Deep leather and tobacco notes. 3 hour decant/
September 20, 2022 - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very intense. Drink now to 2025.
July 12, 2022 - Resolved, medium+ intensity. Drink now-2025.
May 28, 2022 - Didn't know what to expect, as this has been sitting around my cellar for the past 12 years. Surprisingly open, with dark plum being predominant. A little bitterness on the tail end. Tannins pretty much resolved. A nice wine.
May 27, 2022 - Developing very nicely- well balanced & satisfying, rich dark fruit set against appropriate tannin. Paired very nicely with dry aged beef ribeye.
April 21, 2022 - Flawed.
November 17, 2021 - My one and only bottle (not sure where it came from). Drinking really well, and young. Consistent with prior notes. A touch of savory funk on the nose, but dark, rich fruit, slight dusty tannins, and a lingering finish. Same wine would probably cost 2x from Napa.
October 17, 2021 - My last of 10 bottles. Showing very young today for this 12 yr old wine. Smooth, bursting with dark cherries. Long finish. Slight dust on the tannins. Fine with no decant but would probably benefit from one. Ready to roll.
