    April 11, 2024 - Wonderfully rich with plenty of apple, nut butter, and butterscotch with intense concentration. Great now, nicely complex and layered, maybe further upside, but maybe this is it. Really great now.

    March 16, 2024 - The third of 3 bottles purchased at auction and all 3 were stellar. This was the second wine of the evening for a milestone birthday dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. Beautiful citrus and stone fruits, excellent acidity and paired wonderfully with several seafood courses.

    Wines:
    Krug Grande Cuvée NV;
    2010 Bonneau du Martray Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru;
    2010 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru;
    2009 d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Ducs;
    1989 Chateau Montrose; and
    1988 Chateau d'Yquem (750 ml).

    March 1, 2024 - Dezente Nase, leicht buttrig, Blütennoten, reifer Apfel, still, tiefgründig, Creme Brulé, sehr komplex. Cremig im Gaumen, grosse Harmonie, vollmundig, rund, mit gut verpacktem Säurenerv, top verpacktes Holz, aromatisch mit viel Länge, Schmelz und nussige Rückaromen. Grosses Chardonnay Kino.

    February 23, 2024 - Decanted. Oily, some Silex impression upon opening, yellow and tropical fruit. Good weight and impact if not all that interesting. 93

    October 19, 2023 - Judgement of Eagan (Jason P's, St. Paul, MN): Pale gold color. PNP, drank a glass plus over an hour plus. This was a stellar example of this wine. The nose shows tons of freshness, Anjou pear, kumquate, tarragon, anise and bright mineral notes. The palate is crystalline with its minerality and focus; Meyer lemon, lemon, panna cotta testure, lemon zest, elegant and lifted, long and tangy, this just resonates. Gorgeous, and for me, the clear winner over a very good '13 Marcasssin. Group vote was 5-4 for the Bonneau. 95+pts.

    October 19, 2023 - Cracking the whip; 10/16/2023-10/23/2023 (Eagan, MN): N: Peeled mandarin oranges, yellow fruit, dried hay and a nice gentle funk. There is this citrus kick like squeezing a small kumquat, where it gives off a spritz of sharp acidity that brings freshness.

    P: Fuller and weightier than the nose while keeping some of the same notes. There’s a bit of pleasant must that is hard to describe, like the inside of an old wine cellar where it smells like mold and damp stone. The yellow fruit has a nice creaminess that flows into the finish without being overdone.

    Wish I had more time with this because this got better with time in the glass, and even more so as it came to room temp. I preferred this to be served on the cooler side as it provided a nice swiftness on the palate. This was just as good at room temp but more for its heavier flavors.

    October 19, 2023 - Judgement of Eagan Wine Tasting (Jason's House): This was pitted against a 2013 Marcassin, and held its own! The group was divided, with the 2013 Marcassin barely edging out this wine! I was in the Marcassin camp, because quite frankly, for my palate, they make the best Chardonnay! Having said that, this wine gave it a run for its money, even for my palate!

    The nuts and bolts: I loved the nose on this wine....white flowers, spice and some baked apple pie, as well as some gunpowder and sea shell notes in the background. On the palate, their was a slight creaminess (which I liked) and some pear tart apple and slate. It was fun tasting the wine unfurl in the glass as it started out a little tighter (but not too tight) and loosened up with some time and air. A very enjoyable wine that I could kick back and sip all night! Easy 95 for my palate, and always a pleasure to taste a nice Burg!

    October 19, 2023 - Judgement of Eagan (Jason's house): Matchstick, gun flint, bright orange citrus and a supple creaminess. This was bested by a 2013 Marcassin, in my opinion, but that is very much a personal taste decision.

    September 10, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with ripe red apple, toast, vanilla, white flora. High acidity. Nose is aromatic. A pity that the finish is rather short; Medium+ finish. Drinking beautifully. Probably will not improve further.

    September 6, 2023 - A strange showing. Almost a beeswax note to the nose. It had the density and line of Corton and was deep. Flavours were a bit advanced and the usual detail planed off a bit. Slightly oxidised? I have had far better bottles of this 2010.
