December 22, 2021 - Tasted on day 2. Some stewed red berry fruit. Cherries? Some hot alcohol notes. Still they are masked over pretty well by the powerful fruit. A huge amount of lift on this. Some spice just dances on the palate. Medium plus finish. This wine is a bit hard to rate as it has some flaws but some big positives as well. Many of the 2009s have fallen apart at this stage and gotten flabby. Not this it still has some life ahead.
November 18, 2021 - Starting to show brown on the rim
Nose of ripe fruit and earth
Soft and rich on palate, supple tanins with moderate acidity. I don’t think this will improve from here
November 26, 2019 - Part of a 3 bottle vertical
August 16, 2019 - Enormous fruit, especially for an Oregon Pinot. Oak and mushroom.
January 1, 2018 - It was more like a Burgundy. Complex Pinot Noir with both fruit and earth notes.
May 31, 2017 - Opened up ready to go.
Well balanced, with more fruit than expected for an Oregon pinot.
Seemed better than the last bottle consumed in 2014.

December 22, 2015 - This wine intriguingly meshes two Pinot Noir styles: Oregon fruit and richness up front with Burgundian earthiness and rusticity at the back. Though more identifiably as New World, I appreciated the deciduous forest floor and mushroom elements that underlie the fruit.
August 19, 2015 - Great rich Pinot, Oregon Willamette valley classic!
June 28, 2015 - WOTN for most
A surprise given the elegance of 2008 oregon vintages we were drinking
The fruity nose and integration on the palate shined
November 17, 2014 - Ruby red in color, with slight bricking on the rim. This shows more fruit (especially aromatically) than a typical Oregon pinot. Aromas and flavors of cherry, spice, chocolate, earth, and raspberry. Well integrated but still having very much present tannins allowed this to work well with chicken and stuffing. Med+ acidity and a moderate-long length finish with a touch of complexity. A good wine, but poor QPR at the CT average price.
