November 12, 2016 - Pop and pour. Great nose with red raspberry tones on palate. Balanced with soft tannins, alcohol does not stick out at all.

June 2, 2015 - Another good but interesting showing for this wine. It definitely needs some air time to come together. Purple in color. On opening, it is thin and tart sour cherries. With about 30 minutes of air it starts to put on weight and the last glass is the best. Never a huge wine, this is a nice, cool weather Syrah. More red fruit than black. Strong acidity. Very enjoyable though.

April 27, 2015 - Catching up, Lots of Syrah and others from the week; 4/23/2015-4/27/2015 (Around town): Pop and pour, the nose is odd, like sour cherries with balsamic. It only take about 10 minutes and that blows off. The remaining wine is beautiful. The nose has black raspberries, damp earthiness, grilled meats and black pepper. On the palate, there is a firm streak of acidity and firm tannins. Lots of black raspberry fruit. This needed plenty of air as the last glass is the best. Outstanding.

January 1, 2015 - The first time I drank this was 3 years ago with Mike in the tasting room. I loved it then. Today, I thought it may have been in a dumb phase. This is raisiny, with a hint of acid. This is a dark color. I thought the wine was thin. Didn't have the weight associated with a syrah. As the evening went on, the wine was a little tangy. Acid? I'll hold my other bottle for a few years.

July 5, 2013 - Drank over two nights. Purple hue. First glass, night one, popped and poured - dark berry fruit, some smoked meat and limestone, but "tight" and a little disjointed - very young. Left open for a couple of hours and re-corked, came back to it next day. Had opened up and softened. All the elements of the night before, but integrated and lush. Will hold on to my others for a few more years.

April 4, 2013 - Really big and in need of more cellar time, to my palate. Lots of black fruit and olive. Certainly a different style than the other Quivet and Myriad syrahs.

March 1, 2013 - Wine Night 3/1/13: Tasting notes on the leftovers the next morning, rebottled and recorked overnight. 14.8% ABV

Nose of black fruit, brine, black olive, slate/chalk, very youthful. Palate has some pepper and coffee to it that I don't notice in the nose, but overall the palate seems a bit muted to me.

This didn't do a whole lot overnight, maybe smoothed out a bit but no revelations or anything. Improved a bit from the last bottle I had. Drinking well now with an hour or two decant.
