November 3, 2023 - Corked to all get out. Smelled very strongly like the encyclopedias in my parents basement after a flood.

March 10, 2023 - Dinner with Friends (Eagle Brook CC): Served double blind to the group after having been double decanted off its sediment perhaps ninety minutes earlier. Cherry and earth with a terrific floral perfume. The palate follows the bouquet. Balanced, with a lingering finish. Excellent.

November 14, 2021 - Second Sunday Group: 1990 Burgundies (Neil's): Double decanted off its sediment about three hours, give or take, prior to service. Notes of cherry and florals with a deeper red fruit underneath. Medium-bodied, with a soft texture and flavors of cherry, warm spice and earth. Nice finish; well-received by the group. 90+ pts.

December 28, 2020 - Really delicate floral aroma with soft light red fruit that lingers. Really enjoyed over several hours.

May 2, 2020 - TBH, I bought this wine because I love Chambolle-Musigny and thought the fact it had "Derriere" in the name was hilarious, Because I had no knowledge of the producer or vineyard besides the names. My research afterwards gave me hope it wasn't a terrible call. for those who are just laughing at the name like I was, Derriere is just below and right up against Les Fuees. Not bad real estate!
The wine has moved past primary stage and is gaining some weight and secondary depth. the fruit is still ripe and red, but there is earthiness while maintaining that delicacy that Chambolle is known for. it was overpowered a bit by pairing with cassoulet, but would be a great roasted chicken wine.
