August 12, 2022 - My bottle, the first of a case bought en primeur, was still very tannic as reported back in 2016. The the nose was great but wine dried the palate. As I stands it needs more time to soften.

January 22, 2021 - Folks should have waited on this. Now in perfect drinking window with some structure remaining, but is very aromatic, smooth, with emerging secondary savory notes. Amazing QPR!

December 21, 2016 - A fairly extracted, dark, dense and tannin laced old, old school Bordeaux rarely produced any longer. A relatively green, olive dominated nose upon opening, a bit of air allows the red cherries to assert themselves. On the palate, however, the tannic quality dominates with a dry mouthfeel and tart fruit. Young, green and raw this wine could use a few more years, make that decades, before displaying its true quality.

Not sure what the future will bring, the dryness harkens back to days of old in Bordeaux wines. I suspect it will come together for my grandchildren, but the green fruit is unlikely to disappear. A good, if unspectacular production, it was a joy to discover due to its historical note. Drink from 2025 until you die, but be forewarned that the nature of what you drink may not change.
