August 8, 2021 - Matured colour. Plums with a little cherries and spices (cinnamon). Medium tannins. Fine with meat. Good QPR. Time to drink it up.

April 16, 2021 - Quite an interesting wine which I had never tried before. Violet, plum, blackcurrant and spices on the nose, then a round, plump mouthful of the same, quite classic in structure, but the 55% Merlot makes it slightly atypical for a Médoc.
This is good and totally outclassed a Pèlerins de Lafon Rochet 2012.
    Excellent value at 8 euros.

October 2, 2020 - This has somehow ended up on my everyday quaffing shelf. First sniff and I realised it was head and shoulders above that. Blackcurrant, earthiness, a touch of tobacco with depth and a reasonably long finish - that I suspect may have come about over time, although some reviewers said to get drinking it within a few years in 2017 and I am drinking it in 2020.

No, it’s not the most complex wine I have ever tasted, but it does have plenty going on and is a real treat with a steak on a casual Friday night. Very enjoyable and the quality shines through from first sip.

September 25, 2017 - A Medoc Bordeaux not trying to be anything but.
Dark fruit, tannic / rough, spice. Paired OK with eggplant
Parm. Not the style we were looking for tonight.

(Château L'Argenteyre) Dark red violet color; mature, grilled mushroom, plum, toast, coffee nose; tasty, black plum, chocolate, toast, pain grille palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot; 14% alcohol; good value at about $15)
