November 12, 2023 - Hosted a tasting for a longtime group of friends.
    Notes from day 1.
    N tropical, cream, lemon, mineral
P bruised apple, cream, little citrus, nuts.
F average finish, decent mouthfeel, and a little acidity
Overall a memory wine that I was proud to have the smallest hand in many years ago, but was suprised that it showed better than anticipated at this advanced state.

November 11, 2023 - Epic Blind Tasting with Great Buds (Virginia): Golden colored. A gorgeous nose of white peach, whipped honey butter, apricot, with new tennis balls, some almond skin, corn husk -- really fascinating. Creamy texture and racy acidity with lovely balance and flavors of lemon bars, apricot, and orange peel. Complex notes of hay, ginger, almond cake, some croissants. I was ranting and raving about this wine. Blind guess: 2015 Cameron Clos Electrique. I love Hardscrabble but I was surprised at how well this was showing.

April 24, 2016 - Winner (1st out of 12) with an 18/20 average score in our Judgment of Ballston II blind tasting of White Burgundy vs. US Chardonnay

My blind notes: "Really good. Light, lemony, well-balanced, French/Oregon-style, Drouhin? Hardscrabble? 18/20"

    November 17, 2012 - Small blind taste.
Wrote sulffered out with matches and smoke showing.
After revealing I deduced this must of been flawed as the past times with this bottle hasn't shown this much sulfer.

August 1, 2012 - Linden knows how to do VA wine. Really like this bottle, compare it to the Vine Cliff Chardonnay

June 23, 2012 - Showed better than the rest of the VA wines tasted, but not as good as my other bottles so far. Time to get some more.

June 23, 2012 - Virginia's Finest...? (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): We snuck this "silver medal" wine into the tasting... which begs the question... who the hell are these judges and why did they not give this wine a gold? It's insane. This chardonnay is well-made and delicious. Aromas of green apple, white flowers and fresh pear. Lots of gummi fruit flavors, white peach and green apple, balanced by solid acid. It got better with two hours being open. This is a great Virginia chardonnay that gives me hope for the state's white wines.
