  November 3, 2019 - Very good tonight. Not much overt fruit, but a great amount of earth and graphite. Fantastic nose, lithe smooth mouth with a silky texture, good length.

  July 9, 2016 - Somewhat peculiar. No overt fruit for the first hour or two, but lots of earth and woody graphite. The mouth and the structure improve over that time as well, with a good (but still peculiar) wine the result. I'd say that this one needs a few years yet.

  August 17, 2015 - A frutier and less aggressive Ojai syrah compared to other bottelings. This has more cherry and red fruit than smoke, tannins and dark fruit of a typical central coast syrah.

This bottle was good but not great/wonderful/exciting, etc. There is a bit of a funky garden hose finish that I could have done without. With three bottles still in the cellar I have hope that they will improve with time.
