October 25, 2015 - Nose is significantly brighter than palate. Raspberry, rose and bubblegum on the nose, straightforward soil and a hint of smokey blueberry on the palate. Smooth, subtle, dull.

December 17, 2014 - Fairly simple with a modern profile.

November 24, 2014 - consistent easy drinker, smooth, great value, give it a decant for best results

November 17, 2014 - Another year (almost to the day...not by design) really did wonders for this.....very smooth on the PnP with all flavors integrated. Hides the alcohol much better now. A very enjoyable modern red blend that should be consumed over the next year or so.

November 16, 2013 - 2 hours airtime. Big nose of pumpkin spice and potpourri that you can smell a mile away. Lots of energy and youth on the palate with some Heath Bar flavors. Short finish. I think this needs significantly more air time or another year in the bottle to integrate all the flavors and alcohol.

For comparison we had the 2007 Jonata Todos after this. That was much more smooth and refined with less of a nose but a significantly longer finish. So the choice is paying $23 for the Paring and getting a huge but slightly unrefined wine with most of the aspects of the Todos or paying roughly $25 more to obtain an equally huge wine with the additional characteristics I describe above. Either way, Matt Dees makes a damn big/good wine.
