September 14, 2019 - Popped and poured. This is a nice translucent red wine with some significant crust on the bottle and sediment flakes in the last couple of glasses. On the nose, I get cherry, herbs, and leather. In the mouth, this is crisp and nicely balanced, with sweet cherry notes throughout. On the finish, this is a smooth, lip-smacking wine, with some lingering red fruit and spice. Overall, this is very nice; it shows purity and focus, while also wearing the badges of an old-school, high-quality Brunello. Drink now to 2029. 92 points.

April 16, 2019 - Mid garnet yellowish rim. High key floral, dried sour red fruits, earth, mushroom, some minerals and sweet spices. Smooth tannin and mouthwatering. Expansive on palate, good complexity and lingering. Drinking very well now.

July 22, 2014 - struggente nelle sue note autunnali di terra, foglie secche, bosco, rose macerate è animato da un profondo soffio minerale scuro, intenso, pulsante. Segue bocca matura. Il vino è in un momento evolutivo splendido.

Interesting in the respect that it's old world (so has some interesting country flavors), it's unique as opposed to some of the New World Brunellos
