July 19, 2023 - Mellowed very nicely. Surprisingly spicy tannins (in a good way), then rounds out to old leather and plum. Incredibly drinkable.

May 27, 2023 - Solid wine, though fading. Drink up. Definitely slants acid with fading fruit. Though cork was questionable perhaps a one off.

  • Scamber Likes this wine: 94 points

November 15, 2019 - Basically the same as last note from two years ago: still going strong, still very good on night 2. Dark cherry and hint of raspberry fruit evolving to a liqueur flavor, more earth, sous bous, spice coming through. Wife on night 2, “wow this got EARTHY!” Only one bottle left, probably 2-3 years more to see where it goes.

October 6, 2017 - Deep dark berry & cherry flavor. While good upon opening, it developed very nicely over hours and days afterwards into a very well balanced wine. Surprisingly intense dark fruit for a pinot.

  • Scamber Likes this wine:

September 16, 2017 - Still going strong. Dusty cherry, more raspberry coming through, and more spice / earth. Unlike earlier bottles, needed an hour of air to open up at all. Long, elegant, spicy finish. Works with beef. Consistent notes on night two.
