September 18, 2017 - Three hours after decanting the wine was still closed. It needed time in the glass to develop into a lovely, smooth wine with considerable complexity though it is still young in appearance with the sense that with a few more years, more will show.

February 28, 2014 - Chocolate-Chamford nose, but very oxidative and a bit bell pepper vegetal smelling. Tastes better than it smells - but not by much. Good palate intensity, but oxidative and flabby - that, on a pop & pour. Can't imagine any upside here; there's acidity coupled with soft tannins - only place the fruit is going is downhill. I'd say drink up - and never buy this bottling again.

May 13, 2012 - Thought this was quite alright. Not too sweet, which was a relief, and very smooth. Not as dominant as so many amarones are. Let it rest 2-4 years or give it a lot of air. Much better day 2.
