    September 10, 2022 - Mr. Riggs Shiraz, Magnum 2004
Deep ruby garnet color with good clarity. Decant for 2 hours in bottle, ready to drink after that. Nose of riped fruits, concentrated with black, though this is a Shiraz, berries, cherries, blueberries. Plummy with rich character, light spice, slight oak, little earthy. Entry is smooth, savory, medium body and palate mainly echo the nose. All tannins has subsided, mild acidity, tapering....Finished is pleasant, mid length. Consume within next 3 years. 90 pts

December 25, 2021 - Well developed on nose and pallet but with some fresh bouquet coming through. Great length and some primary fruit peeking through. Great wine

December 24, 2021 - An aged bouquet of stewed plums and cherries, black pepper and earthy notes on the nose. Palate is rich and elegant at the same time. Good transition from entry to finish which is smooth and persistence. Just a touch of power towards the end of the polished but hot finish. Drink up soon.

September 9, 2021 - This was a spectacular magnum. In a perfect drinking window. Was decanted but epic from the get go faded after 1 and half hours.

Nose - cherry cedar oak and spice.

Palate - vulumptous supple defined and hedonistic. A cherry bomb with a huge amount of tobacco leather and oak.

This wine was incredible At the qpr a true bargain. Could not have been better. In perfect drinking window will hold for 2-4 years but doubt it will improve.

August 16, 2021 - Not nearly as impactful as my previous. Some bottle var I suspect - as this bottle was still in good tact. Not the depth of flavor or length. Oh well...

October 28, 2018 - Tremendous Shiraz - deep opaque purple, big dark fruit aromatics and unctuously thick on the palate. High alcohol but who cares when the cassis flavors flow like this?

July 6, 2018 - Unlike earlier tasting notes where blueberry was predominant, tonight the black berry lead with accents from plum and more red fruit notes. The plum and red fruit notes were more subdued and less sweet than previous tasting according to my notes, the sweeter blue tones subsiding. Perhaps this is due to bottle or lot variation, or aging deeper into the tasting window, or both. The remainder was consistent with previous tasting notes posted back in 2014. "Dark inky purple colored, full bodied, rich, complex, full forward sweet black and blue berry fruits, accented by a layer of mineral and tones of graphite on a lingering tongue coating full tannin finish."

July 2, 2017 - Drinking very well and much more refined and elegant in comparison to the Molly Dooker TLF 05 we drank before this. Drink now - 2022+

April 16, 2015 - Big bold high octane Aussie shiraz. Decanted about two hours and it needed it. Very rich plush fruit, still with tannins and some alcohol. Easily stands up to spicy fruits. Very good for this style wine.
