July 13, 2014 - Pleasent, solid chardonnay.
August 14, 2013 - Pale yellow with a slight green tinge in the glass. Aromas of lemon and orchard fruit. Tastes of flowers, some green apple and just a hint of citrus on the end. No real complexity or depth, just a solid white bourgogne.
After more time in the glass, I sense a greater level of grapefruit, including some more bitterness - in a less pleasing way.
July 13, 2013 - This was the last bottle. What a shame. Been really impressed. Good fruit. Well balanced. Good value.
September 23, 2012 - As before
September 5, 2012 - Consistent with previous notes. Continues to be a crowd pleaser. Went well with a squash risotto we had.
August 28, 2012 - Very consistent with previous notes. I'm now starting to wonder whether this wine would welcome a big more time in the bottle. The acidity is very prominent, so perhaps give it a bit more time to improve in the bottle? But certainty very drinkable now.
August 10, 2012 - Fresh. Get crisp green apple on the palate. Also bit of citrus flavours. Enjoyable.
August 6, 2012 - impressive again. crisp, sharp, good acidity.
July 30, 2012 - Light straw in colour.
Bit of apple and chalk on the nose.
Good acidity. Crisp. Focused.
Drinks well with food.
June 14, 2012 - Massive Bourgogne Blanc. I totally get the sex appeal on this. New oak nose with apple and citrus. I would guess lees aging. It reminds of tasting a bottle of Wente N'th degree many years ago. Palate is rich and round. High acid. High alcohol that burns my back palate. Feeling of oak tannin around the sides of my mouth. solid. Needs Time. This is EASILY a 6 or 7 year wine and would be better in 2019.
