October 18, 2013 - Big black fruit bomb on open, followed by the barnyard. I found the alcohol a lot less present than the previous reviews. If we had more this would like our go-to Zin for most occasions.

January 6, 2013 - Lovely chardonnay - more Burgundian than Californian - restrained oak, lovely malolactic creaminess, well balanced acidity. shame they don't ship to the UK!

April 2, 2012 - What a great QPR. This is a hot and spicy zin. It needs time though, both in the bottle (still firm tannins) and in the glass/decanter (boozy). I'll definitely be buying this again.

February 14, 2012 - A complex and powerful wine. A slightly floral nose with a fairly defined peat note. Undertones of smoked meat and leather. It's complex enough that you'll find yourself sniffing at least as much as you sip. The alcohol is perhaps a bit too noticeable at 15.4%. Palate of dark raspberry. Very smooth and well balanced. Long finish, mostly of smoke and oak. Balanced tannins.

February 10, 2012 - Beautiful zin. Fruit forward but elegant. Raspberry and cotton candy. Long finish. can't go wrong with an Edmeades.

January 3, 2012 - Nose is magic marker inky, dark purple fruit, vanilla. Fairly big on palate, and juicy, wild berries and herbs, well balanced with medium grippy tannins toward finish.

September 17, 2011 - A nose of red wine and expensive restaurant, campfire and old library, this wine, with a palate redolent of raspberry and peat offers a balanced structure. Seriously, I love zins and this is one of the best 'fruit forward' zins I've tasted in a long time. Highly recommended.
