21 yr old cali chardonnay that has been on the gradual decline for years. 10 years past it’s time and yet still exhibited varietal character.
Oxidized, yet almost drinkable, which is no small feat! -

April 5, 2016 - Bordeaux (John's house): Bought from Winebid. Slight oxidiation, tart finish. Still, some nice acidity and tangyness. Round butterscotch, a bit of fruit left. This either impoved with a little time or I warmed up to it. Hits that exceptional level to me. Clearly a couple years in decline.

April 1, 2016 - No Fools Today (Minneapolis): Really solid overall. Slight oxidation but doesn't distract the oak, lemon oil, vanilla and pear. Medium plus finish. Drink now.
