August 28, 2009 - Much better bottle than my previous. Good complex nose and while still a bit hot it has some nice mint and powerful structured dark fruit.

July 1, 2008 - Powerful but not differentiated. Chocolate tones after cassis in the nose. Some pepper. Unbalanced but very powerful on the palate. Grassy tones.

June 23, 2008 - Drinking beautifully right now. Lots of cedar and red fruits on the nose, with darker fruit and some leather and firm tannins in the mouth. Stood up nicely to grilled porterhouse steaks.

August 31, 2007 - decided to explore mendoza valley after reading review of an inn and spa that we hope to visit. this wine was very enjoyable but seems to have been made in a style intended for current drinking. i usually prefer a little more stuffing. i did not find a war between the flavor components of the three grapes as described by another taster. the wine seems quite harmonious with primary dark berry and chocolate flavors as described by professional reviewer. the wine is a lttile over priced considering that many california wines in this price range are more interesting. nevertheless, considering the small production for this wine, i guess they are entitled to recover their costs in return for providing a nice introduction to what mendoza valley has to offer.

July 24, 2007 - Sometimes the components of a blend don't quite mix in a wine. It's not like pouring oil and vinegar in a cruet and seeing them form layers, or even like the revolting fish oil I pour in my orange juice every morning to keep those nasty triglycerides at bay. But when I smell this blend of tempranillo, malbec and merlot it''s like three little birds in the nest clamoring for my attention all at the same time. In the mouth there's very ripe fruit but the cacophony continues. Reminds me of Dover Beach for some bizarre reason: "swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight/where ignorant armies clash by night." Maybe it will do better with food...
