December 2, 2023 - [Blind] Consistent to the 01/26/2022 note, same source. Remarkably integrated and resolved. Guesses were late '90s. Black teas and soft black fruit. Gorgeous Vosne perfume, highly expressive. Would never guess 2010, the wood is basically all gone.

July 23, 2023 - I am not sure if cdv can be better than this. In other words, superb!

June 28, 2023 - Drank last nite w/HA & friend at Manhatta. Unsure if I'd ever had this wine b4. Reviewed several of the CT notes &, unfortunately, tho I enjoyed this wine, I can't ascribe the same superlatives as many others did.
Decanted for appx an hour at the table. Nose is prototypical red burg: earthy, wood spice, some forest floor and perhaps even some dirty socks. Light to medium body, with some red fruit notes, earth, some spice, & fully resolved tannins. The wine didn't strike me as overly complex, and seemed a bit off-balance--perhaps bc the fruit is fading, and there's more spice and earth on the palate as a result. Pleasantly long finish. Liked, didn't love this wine.

June 25, 2023 - Collector's kindly shared magnum. Great to have CT as I would never have remembered that I had this Clos Vougeot already 7 years ago. Very pretty and fragrant nose with wood spices and plenty of earth, the palate cannot measure up entirely, initially with plenty of residual CO2 and to my surprise (given this is a 2010 in magnum format) fully resolved tannins, light to medium body. Overall nice on the palate but not aromatically profound or complex. Medium length. Nose 94, palate 92

June 24, 2023 - From MAG. Beautiful nose, all you want from a Burg. Red fruit, sweet spices, cured meat, autumn m leaves. The palate was a little lighter than I remembered it. Excellent.

May 25, 2023 - Side by side with a 10 HN Murgers. The Murgers was no slouch, but this was WOW. Lifted and persistent aromatics, red fruits and violets. Silk in the mouth and so, so fine. Probabyl my WoTN.

November 19, 2022 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of truffle, mushroom, cooked red fruits, toast, spices. This wine is singing right now! Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Tannin integrated and round. Long finish and complexity.

January 26, 2022 - [Blind] Ripe and opulent/ Youthful with robust black cherry fruit but already easily accessible and approachable. Nice spice and stems here. Lifted aromatics and style, quote showy. Powerful but completely drinkable / enjoyable right now. Somewhat sappy fruit. Oak stamp is integrating well. Thoroughly enjoyed this, would buy. 93 - 94.

December 6, 2021 - Red clear brick. The nose, precise and expansive, has magnificent aromas of dark fruits, spices and forest floor. There is very fine mid palate density, displaying earthy and dark berry pinot flavors, with wonderful sweetness and fine grain tannins that fans out in a long, complex and balanced finish. This is an opulent Clos de Vougeot, just rightfully extracted to make a hedonistic experience, without the rustic tannins typical of many other producers of CDV. Very good winemaking choices, very well made. At maturity now.

October 2, 2021 - Another bottle, another very good showing, another seeping cork. This bottle opened three hours before consumption to slow ox which was needed. A deep autumnal bouquet with hints of iron and game, good fruit concentration, slightly stemmy on the nose. Nice Burg.
