October 27, 2020 - Last bottle of this vintage. Bottles purchased direct shortly after release during a great trip to Napa with friends Costa and Caroline. In my cellar since. Paired with Val's rosemary chicken and potatoes...PnP, drank over 90 minutes.

Medium garnet color, clear, some separation at the rim. Nose showing dark cherry, earth, cocoa. Still nicely ripe palate, dusted cherry, red currant, baking spice, mild oak. nice persistence and some "sweetness" through the mid palate. Medium body, medium/long finish

From memory, slightly brighter fruit than the last bottle. Still hanging in there and drinking nicely at this stage. Tannins smoothed, nice texture. Well stored bottles should be able to go another 5 years based on this bottle...

February 15, 2018 - At home, clearing out work email...needed something to get me through the task...getting to the end of a batch purchased directly, been a few years since I tried this, good excuse to check in on it. PnP, cork crumbled, drank over 2 hours

Garnet core, some bricking. Nose of dark fruits, milk chocolate, mint/eucalyptus, earth. Palate of dusted black cherry, currant, baking spice, oak. Elegantly aged, fully mature, showing beautifully through the mid palate. Medium/long finish.

Probably a bit past its peak but still very nice to drink. Showing well for an unheralded Napa vintage...One bottle left, will drink in the next year/two

March 18, 2016 - At home, this one has been in my cellar from release. Haven't had it in several years. Splash decanted and drank over 2+ hours.

Deep garnet color, mild signs of age. Nose of dark cherry, earth, some barnyard when first opened. Fruit forward CA Cab with rich palate of dark cherry, spices, tobacco. Medium bodied and long finish.

This bottle is in a good spot now, gracefully aged and retaining its fruit forward profile. Should hold at this level for a few years (best guess). Nice wine, well made...

March 21, 2009 - Really good. A little dust or cork in the nose, but the wine is really well balanced. very nice

July 8, 2008 - Wonderfully rich fruit in this up front cab. One of my favorites. Again enjoyed with a well marinated steak. The wine held up well with great taste and perfect on the palate. Held one glass in nitrogen for drinking following day. Excellent as a pre-dinner wine as well. More sediment in the bottle than I had experienced previously
