January 29, 2021 - I've been sitting on this since 2012, and you can hold this for another 2 years easy. Dark color. Hint tannins. Some chocolate? This is drinking beautifully for a wine that's 11 years old. I had a Flannery ribeye steak, and drank this with my new Grazzl wine glass. All 3 were the perfect combination. I have more glasses and steak. Wish I had another bottle of the 2009 Cabernet.
February 5, 2018 - Dark garnet, still opaque. Prominent cabernet aromas of dark fruits, hint of herbs, leather. Full but smooth deep, rich flavors. Moderate tannin the first night but had softened the next, and there was a bit more complexity. Ready to drink, should easily last a few more years.

January 29, 2017 - Really nice napa cab. Has aged well since I first tasted it young. Dark fruits, leather and some tobbaco
December 27, 2016 - Quite nice and to my tastes, this was drinking well after an hour or two of air.
November 26, 2016 - Representative of Spring Mountain Cab. Blackberry, pleasantly peppery and structured. Just a spot on, balanced showing.
May 25, 2015 - Wait until 2018 for the second bottle.
December 11, 2013 - decanted for apx. 2 hours, very nice depth of flavor and continued to gain flavor. tasted the Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet 2010 by Coravin at the same time and Sojourn was much better even after a 2 and 4 hour decant for the Mondavi. How WS gave it an 87, I don't know.
November 16, 2013 - Nice deep dark plum color and aromas of dark fruit and earth. Long legs. Excellent profile of complexity and balance and structure on the palate. Great finish. This will only get better with age
March 9, 2013 - - Crimsom color and aromas of blackberry, black currant, cloves, rose and vanilla. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black currant, blackberry, rose, dusty and vanilla with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a medium finish - Was so excited to open this, nose was amazing, finish was entirely too much vanilla bean and overly forced. Coming from spring mountain this should have been a stellar wine, could have used 2-3 more years to calm down the oak finish.
February 8, 2013 - Light, fruity, red fruits, some oak, light tannins, low acidity. Not very impressive.
