February 16, 2023 - Delightful Burgundy a tad richer and deeper than a typical Marsannay; perfectly mature, popped and slow oxed for 30 mins; slightly more red fruit but a little blue too. Wonderful.

November 15, 2021 - Very pretty nose of sous-bois, red and blue fruit, maybe a touch of a charred note. In the mouth medium to light bodied, fresh, softened tannins. Classic, a bit lighter than expected, but very good. I‘d say time to drink up.

March 8, 2021 - Still good and consistent with previous impression, but maybe a little less charming. This bottle was a touch austere.

October 3, 2020 - My second bottle of this, last bottle was six months ago. This feels very different. The first bottle definitely had more white pepper than fruit. This bottle is the other way around and better for it.

Sour cherries, lovely mouth feel, quite full and fruit driven. The white pepper is still there but it is in the background now. This is in a good place.

  • Cote d'Or Likes this wine:

    August 14, 2019 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-med dark red tinge of purple minimal clearing
-low-pitched almost somber earthy dark berry cherry iron
-med/med+ acidity, med weight intensely sappy mineral stone and essence of faded dark fruits, med/med- ripe tannins
-liquid black rocks!, incredible tension indicative of the vintage, squarely on a mature plateau now, this won't win any beauty contests but the energy and verve are remarkable, very high quality and excellent terroir transparency
